Good morning ,
First of all i always used to upgrade and i had never have a problem befor until today when i upgraded from 7.0 to 7.1 , went to log in my administartion surprised by a white page and an error :
Fatal error: Call to undefined function bx_get() in
/home/xxxxxxxxxxx/public_html/administration/index.php on line 68
Then went to the home page i did got this :
Fatal error: Call to undefined function bx_get() in
/home/xxxxxxxxxxx/public_html/inc/classes/BxDolSearch.php on line 469
Please can you let me know what would be the prolem .

You did not replace old files with new ones ! Please make sure that old

It looks like upgrade script was uploaded into wrong location, try to upload upgrade script to the DOlphin root folder with overwriting any existing folders/files.
Don't forget to make backup before the upgrade!

hello and thanks for the reply. i'm confused on the part when you say the wrong folder? which folder should it be in? the dolphin files are in the d7 folder. am i suppose to put in a different folder?

Is it installed and working version of Dolphin 7.0.9 ? installed version should have inc/header.inc.php file in place, but your looks missing then.

I managed to find the file and out it in the right place and do the upgrade. however on my home page i'm getting this error message now "Method(serviceFeaturedBlockIndex) was not found in module(news)" and it appears that some features may not be working. if you can help from here that would be great

I'm not sure what, but something you are doing the wrong way and may lead to even more broken site. It's better to ask someone to do the upgrade for you.
