Upgrade problem !

I'm trying to upgrade my SmartPro Dolphin from 6.1.3 to 6.1.4 but I've some problems.

I've downloaded the Dolphin 6.1.4 patch and see the instructions.

On Step 2 the first problem:

"Step 2: Extract the archive and upload its contents to the Dolphin installation folder on your server overwriting the files with the same names. You can use any FTP client to do so."

I can't delete a lot of files because Transmit FTP program answer me I haven't permiss. I've tryed with "replace" command and "merge" command. The same. After that Gruops has problems now, and I cant re-upload my original backup too.

When I try to upload an image for a gruop it answer me this:

"Warning: rename(/home/andyb72/public_html//tmp/Dol_i0aZbp,/home/andyb72/public_html/groups/gallery/3_8_c46fa6bfed.jpg) [function.rename]: Permission denied in /home/andyb72/public_html/group_actions.php on line 144

Warning: chmod() [function.chmod]: No such file or directory in /home/andyb72/public_html/group_actions.php148

Warning: chmod() [function.chmod]: No such file or directory in /home/andyb72/public_html/group_actions.php149

Warning: chmod() [function.chmod]: No such file or directory in /home/andyb72/public_html/group_actions.php150

493"

So I think there is some problem :)

Where can I check the right permission for Group dir and Orca dir on 6.1.4 patch?

Other problems here:

Warning: main(/home/andyb72/public_html/groups/orca/classes/en/ThingPage.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/andyb72/public_html/groups/orca/index.php on line 47

Bye,

Andrea

Resolve your permissions problem,

your files must have account owner,

so if you will connect to FTP by your account - you will able to replace any files.

Recheck Owner of files (SSH)

Hi !

I managed to upload files to the server, but now would change the permissions of these files because it still gives me these errors when I go to Orca admin for compile the language:

"

Where can I see the list of permits to change them on the directories / groups and / orca?

orca/conf/

(here possible just 1 params.conf file)

chmod 777 groups/orca/cachejs/ groups/orca/log/ orca/cachejs/ orca/log/
chmod 777 groups/orca/classes groups/orca/js groups/orca/layout orca/classes orca/conf orca/js orca/layout

Must I click on "compile languages: en" to complete the upgrading on 6.1.4 or not? IF yes, how must I change permits of language file?

Thanks for supporting.

Don`t be lazy to click at this compiling if you change something in orca :)

it don`t break your orca, just recreate source

I click on it, but it answer with a "nice" popup:

"Language file compilation have been failed. Please check folders permissions."

Which folder permission need I to change? Is there a "guide" with all permissions to set for every files for Dolphin, Orca, ecc?

Up

permissions to orca:

chmod 777 groups/orca/cachejs/ groups/orca/log/ orca/cachejs/ orca/log/
chmod 777 groups/orca/classes groups/orca/js groups/orca/layout orca/classes orca/conf orca/js orca/layout

Thanks for your paste, but all these have already dir permits right.

now my answer:

"Language file compilation have been failed. Please check folders permissions."

Which folder permission need I to change? Is there a "guide" with all permissions to set for every files for Dolphin, Orca, ecc?

Try to login as root and delete all

'en', '***_en'  directories at Orca folder,

and again click recompile

"Language files have been successfully compiled"

Now it's ok.

See you on the next bug...

Bye
