Updating to the Dolphin 7 when it comes out?

I need to get started on a project, so I was wondering if this was possible: if I just install and use this new Dolphin 7 (Hookie). Alpha Build 17. - would I be able to upgrade to the full version once Dolphin 7 comes out?

No... this is only a preview not more. no updates further..
After the beta is coming out, then you can update to next versions.

Does anybody know when the next update or version is coming out..? It's so hard to find deadlines on this site!

What you could do is begin your project with 6.1.4 and upgrade to D7 when it is final. As was posted Alpha is merely a preview and if things go similar to the past releases of 6.x  D7 will go through several beta versions before it is ready for final release.

If you want to work with the betas of D7 that would be great, but not recommended for live sites.

That's awesome I didn't know I would be able to update to D7 because I thought it would be way too different. Thanks! :D

I am using 6.1.6 for one project right now.

This means I will be able to upgrade to V7

when this is released???

What about the license?
My plan is to purchase one when D7 is out...

Does it make sense to buy a License now?

And another question:
I installed D7 alpha on a test site and cannot get the ray/flash activated.
How can I get them activated to play around with them?

Yes you can update to version 7 after final is coming out.

You can buy the current version, license stays the same.

Flash/Ray  registering for alpha version not avaible...

All versions of 6.1.5 and higher  use all one license.
