Updated modules in the market - How to keep track?

Hello,
if you have several modules then you run into this issue where you have the developer updating the module and you're not aware that there's a later version.

I would expect that you could find module updates under "Updated" in the Market sorted in chronological order. But that's not how it works.

It's not convenient to rely on subscribing to the individual support forum since a lot of other users are filling that with questions that you have no interest in.

A updated module section in the market that works or e-mail subscription to when there is an updated version available would save the community time.

It would probably help the developer as well since there seems to be a lot of problems that people write and complain about when in fact the problem is that they are using an old version.

P.S. When trying to communicate this directly to Boonex through a ticket I was told to open a topic in Forum  instead since tickets are pre-sales.

i always add a changelog to my market posts and write an update notice in the support forum aswell.

but you are right, it would be very helpfull to get an automated notification system or something like this!

For most all modules, developers have support forums to their products. One thing you can do is 'subscribe' to the forum topic and you will receive email updates when new posts are entered. The only drawback is, you get a notification for each entry, whether its a members asking question or having issues, or if the developer actually posts that the module has been updated.

Yes Zarcon, I can and are subscribing to the support forums. But there is to much non-sense that doesn't effect you. If you only have bought a few modules it starts becoming a nuisance and you lose track. I don't want to sit and click on links on my what 20-30 modules? And I don't think that I should have to do that either.

Why not have a central point where in Chronological order you see what modules has been updated to a later version? Then you could check that in every couple of weeks.

"I mean how hard can it be?"
