Hi have checked the site but unable to find solution. I have 2 issues:
- I am unable to send mass mail to users that were imported to the site. I have 4000 members but mass mailing only sends to 2500 leaving 1500. All members are setup to receive mass mails ie: 1 as the option. I had original imported 1500 members and believe these are the one not getting the emails
- Mass emails take too long to be processed. 20 gets sent every 10 minutes. I would like to be sending 1 mass email a day and at this rate the 3rd days emails will be delivered the 4th day. Is there a way to speed this up. I have a dedicated server with Hostgator so hardware speed is not a issue
Thanking you in advance

1. Check again that the imported members are SUBSCRIBED to the mass mailer/newsletter. Not the site notices but the newsletter; they are not the same.
2. Do you have your own mail server or are you using Hostgator's mail server? If you have your own mail server then yes, you can increase the number per day. The limit is to not overwhelm the mail server; especially if you are using another mail server that is processing mails for other clients.

Hi, Thank you for the reply
1. Could you please provide instruction on how to achieve this. I have checked and all EmailNotify is set to 1 on the profile table. Is there any other table that I have to change
2. Yes I have a dedicated server, where do I change the setting on the website?
Thanking you in advance

The users DO NOT have to be subscribed to get mass mail. The "subscribers" are people who added their email in the subscribe box on the home page. That box is for people who are NOT members of the site but want updates about the site.
For the members to get mass mail they need to have a "1" under email notify and their date of birth needs to be in the correct format also. If you imported the members make sure they have a dob and its the same format dolphin uses.
About Hostgator make sure your cron job is set to run once a minute. It needs to be for the mails to go out correctly. About the number it sends per cron job, you can change that in the Dolphin admin.

Strange, why do you need the date of birth to send out a newsletter? Geeks, making the world a better place |

Why do ask members these kinda questions? Not all think like you.

It can not be because you want to make sure they are over the age of some limit because the home page subscribe link just ask for name and email address. So why isn't the subscribe link on the home page also asking for DOB. It was more of a general question asked out loud than directed to any one person.
Newton, if you don't like me, just ignore my posts and I will ignore the posts you make. When you posted on my topic about member redirects, was I rude to you? No, I was not. I could do like you do and make some snide remark but that is childish.
As for the DoB, this is another example of things in Dolphin that does not make any sense. The newsletters should not care if the DoB field is filled out or not since it does not care about subscribers' DoB on the Home Page.
