This is the support forum for the Ultimate FAQ mod.

How do I replace the Boonex Default FAQ link that is at the bottom of every page with your Ultimate FAQ?

As I mentioned previously, download the mod and check the patches/version_2.0.1 folder for instructions. The link will be replaced once you follow the instructions in the readme.txt.

I did as you instructed. Dowloaded and installed the latest version of UltimateFAQ. Then i applied the sqlupdate.php from the 2.01 patch.However after that, my FAQ link redirects to a page that says Module (Referral not found).

Please advise.

There was an issue with the update, I have corrected it. Since you have applied already, please PM me your details so I can manually adjust the site.

I just noticed that the Daily Tip on the home page is not showing Random FAQ. I tired so many times.

The issue was NOT the daily block is showing or NOT....The issue is NOT showing RANDOM FAQs...It is stuck with only 1 FAQ..I tried so many times ...and I have about 5 FAQs.

 Daily Tips block was meant to display one Tip per day. This will change daily.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the module a few months ago... today I noticed two cron jobs for your FAQ mod with the exact same info.  I deleted one of them.  Just a guess... seems the uninstall program does not removing the cron in sys_cron_jobs.

 I have updated the uninstall procedure to correct the issue ( modules\modzzz\faq\install\sql\uninstall.sql )

This mod is now updated for Dolphin 7.1

I have upgraded to 2.0.8 on 7.1.3 and am getting database errors when I try to edit an FAQ. I can delete them but cannot write new ones. 

I've sent you examples of the error report to the email address you listed in the text file.

I checked the error message. It is saying that you did not apply patch 2.0.5. Every patch must be applied so if you had 2.0.4 and then went straight to 2.0.8,  you now need to apply 2.0.5, 2.0.6 and 2.0.7.

Url not correct...

I was having this issue on my live site and just now installed Ultimate FAQ (2.0.8) on my test site and the same thing is happening.  I have made NO changes to settings whatsoever, I tested it immediately after installing.

1. Go to FAQ home

2. In the categories block on the right, click a category.  Note the url

3. In the categories block on the right, again, click a category. Keep an eye on the url, and watch it grow!!! :)  Also note that the left side never changes (the filter is not applied).

Your site has an issue that is not specific to the FAQ mod. Go to other mods such as shannypoo.com/m/news/index/ and note that your breadcrumbs links has the URL growing too

I have the mod installed and it works great but I just found a little bug.

If you try to scroll to a 2nd, 3rd, etc. page of the Tags block, the block disappears.

 The issue is resolved. Please re-upload the modules\modzzz\faq\classes folder.

I know this is probably more a dolphin thing, but, on the main page, categories block, the URL has an M in it.

What is happening is my menu system is not picking that up and does not display the associated menu items for the FAQ module.

if I remove the M/ in the address bar it works as expected.

Is there anyway to remove the M in the URL?

Example:

<a href="m/faq/browse/category/General" class="actions">General</a>

I need it to read <a href="faq/browse/category/General" class="actions">General</a>

@Steve The Exploiter - Are you saying that you have modified Dolphin so it no longer uses the 'm' in the URL rewrite for modules ?

Nevermind.  LOL  It was my menu system that wasn't right.  I wasn't matching the URL correctly.

This module is now compatible with Dolphin 7.2 . For those upgrading from Dolphin 7.1, please check the upgrade folder for instructions.

This mod is now available for Dolphin 7.3

Had the FAQ module installed over the last 24 hours and I love it, but from inside the admin panel, the check boxes are mixed in with the topic titles as if the padding around the boxes isn't set right.  See attached image for an example.

A padding adjustment has been made to the Admin section where the listings are shown. Re-upload the following file then clear cache :

modules\modzzz\faq\templates\base\unit_admin.html

Modzzz has been nothing less than outstanding with me.  Two mods and a quick fix, all within 24-48 hours.  You can't ask for better service.  Will definitely be a lifelong customer.

Not only did he provide a fix to the FAQ mode for all, he went to my server and fixed it there as well.  Big props to Modzzz!!!!!

Hi, please help. On my home page i have "Daily tip." This tip never changes. It should change each day I think, how to fix this? Thank you.

 This is handled by a Cron Job. Check to ensure that your default Dolphin Cron Job is setup properly in the CPanel.

Yeah, the cron job has now been fixed some 36 hours, and the daily tip is still the same. Any suggestions on how to trouble shoot this?
