 All files uploaded in Dolphin (regardless of module) are stored in modules/boonex/files/data/files folder

What is the "Background" file upload section when adding an article? I'm trying to have common sense and say that it is for background image behind the article text? Maybe I'm way off but I can see the sites template set text color messing things up there if so.

I used the demo user tester and pw and then wanted to add a new article on your website. But it showed access denied.

Hello,

I have your Articles module which is integrated into your Points module. When a user is submitting an article, the article has to be approved by the admin prior to publishing.

 

I have come across 2 issues:

 

1) When a user writes an article, he/she receives points directly after submitting it even though the article has not yet be approved by the admin.

(Not good because it might be the case that an article will not be approved/published at all)

 

2) Friends and/or Favorites receive a notification about the new article once the user has submitted it, even though the article has not yet been approved by the admin and is not yet published.

(The same as above, not good since some articles might not get approved and will not be published at all)

 

Would you please be so kind and look into these matters ? I think it would be in the interest of all who have your articles module.

In order to guarantee a good quality on my website, I will have to approve member article's prior to publishing. But the way it is now it will be very chaotic that they will get points and other members be notified even though the article has not yet been approved.

Hi Modzzz and Boonex community,

I hope you are doing well.

It is very disappointing that I did not get any answer from you regarding my last 2 posts....

 

Unfortunately, I have come across another issue that is about the categories:

On the site at Articles Home, you can see all the categories of articles and how many articles are in one category.

If you click on one, let's say on one called "Language Learning (4)" - instead of showing you the 4 articles of this category, you will be transferred to the the tab "categories" within the article menue, so it is a bit pointless.

When you are in the category menue and click on one, nothing is happening either.

When clicking on the categories, shouldn't you see all the articles from this category? Or what is this feature for?

 

The same applies to your module News.

 

I would appreciate it if you could look into this.

On the ultimate articles home screen,i checked the RSS button and copied the rss link into an validator. But the validator said it is not correct and it also did not work in an RSS grabber tool either

Is the htmlpurifier called in the backend of the Ultimate articles module? I tried some code but it is changed after saving. I read that in the backend the htmlpurifier is not called, because only admin has access to it.

 htmlpurifier is a Dolphin Admin functionality which is not directly used by modules.

Is the htmlpurifier called in the backend of the Ultimate articles module? I tried some code but it is changed after saving. I read that in the backend the htmlpurifier is not called, because only admin has access to it.

@mrtn - Please try the same with one of the default modules such as Groups or Events and see the result. RSS is a default Dolphin functionality which all modules plug into. I have never really explored its functionality.

Maybe found an issue with "new line" (changing of lines when reaching end of line). 

 

1. The sentence is 

Schlafsäcke, Isomatten, kleine Zelte, Rucksäcke, Karabinerhaken, Gaskocher und Kartuschen, Campinggeschirr 

 

2. On PC everything is correct. On smartphone screen the the word

 

Gaskocher is shortened to Gaskoc

Most words (that reach end of line) are put into the next line correctly, but sometimes those words are just cut off.

2. To RSS funcionality. I tested the RSS link of the ultimate articles module with another social media tool. It worked, but one thing was missing when compared to other rss streams.

 

The meta image value. Could add that the selected image of an article is taken as the meta image. Then social media tools and direct shares to facebook and twitter (twitter especially needs this) can grab the correct image.

When a user wants to see his "My" articles. He clicks the icon. Then sees that he has 1 (picture a) but none is showen beneath. And when the user clicks the number "1" he then sees picture b.

The "issue" is connected to the selection of the language the article has. When user selected for example "german" and has chosen english as system language, then the article is not shown.
