Has anyone heard of a Twitter-like mod or widget that would enable members to post status updates? (similar to the ones we all know from facebook)

I have made some research and found this cool free open-source script called Laconica It works like Twitter, but has some extra features. Wonder if someone knows how to integrate it with Dolphin. Basically what I need is to make it so that when people join my Dolphin community they will be automatically members of my Laconica and will be loggedin in both at the same time. Therefore Laconica will act like a mod or extension to Dolphin. So if someone has heard of anything that could help, please answer this topic! Thanks. |
What your asking for here is a full blown integration, and not a simple trick. We went through similiar issues with this in regards to integrating phpBB3 and vBulletin. While the issue was resolved in phpBB3 noone that I know of yet has been able to integrate vBulleting. In this instance, your best shot at this is going to find a coder who is familiar with both programs intimately and hire them to do the integration off site, demonstrate that it fully works and then install it on your production site.
Keep in mind this is not going to be done in 1 or 2 days as it will take a large amount of testing in multiple browsers and under multiple server configurations to ensure that it is working correctly and to resolve bugs that will inevitably come up.

btw Laconica can be found at: http://laconi.ca |
