Tutorial: How to remove Boonex references!!

TUTORIAL:  How to Remove Direct & Hidden Boonex References

Eventhough you pay to remove the links, even after you changed your design, Dolphin still makes users know what software you are using through source code links with the name "boonex" or the css class of the ray chat etc or prefix "bx" in the css selectors.

Follow the below steps (make a backup first):

Basic Steps:

Step 1: Change your design so that it truly looks different. Not just the color.

Step 2: Enter your license so the huge boonex banners are removed.

Step 3:
Change the promo banner text.

Intermediate Steps:

Step 1:

1)  Downloaded Notebook ++

2)  Open it and go to search and find in all files

3)  Choose your directory, the word you want to replace (for example bx or boonex) etcetera and so on. Pretty self explanatory.

Step 2:

1)  Go to PhpMyAdmin

2)  Export the database that contains all Dolphin Tables (preferably as sql and uncompressed)

3)  Replace the same words you replaced in step 1

Advanced Steps:

1)  Go to http://obfuscatorjavascript.com/

2)  Obfuscate the files or HTML source code segments you dont want people to see (make sure to make a backup of the original code though)

What happens when you need to update the site?

Add a third party module that depends on the database in it's original form.

Templates.. and so on.

This may also remove references to BoonEx in file headers, which is not allowed.

@newton27 Maybe people should do this when their site is production ready, rename it and put it on the server :P

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
