Turn off ability to create own categories

Hi there

How do I turn off the ability for users to create their own categories in blogs, groups and so on.

Please assist

A Google search indicates that it can't be done at "easy" level. Modzzz made a free mod some time ago but that seems to have been lost, or converted into a payware module. 

I honestly can't understand the Boonex logic. They literally allow members to destroy a site that Admin spends hours refining. I really wonder how many people even know what a category is? Within hours you will have a category list several kilometres long containing junk like: Ring Tones, ringtones, rintones, ringtons, phone announcers, beeps, announcements, noises, etc., etc.,

I've spent most of the past several years trying to convert my copy of Dolphin so that it's under my control, but Boonex keeps putting up more and more obstacles. All those bells and whistles are fine, but EVERY option should be controlled by Admin (the owner!) He or she should decide what features their members want, not Boonex. 

The list goes on. Modzzz has a mod called Actions Manager and it allows you to remove "some" actions. Sadly it doesn't look like it removes the "additional categories" folder and that's a bit pity. 

Maybe someone will volunteer to help you and I out because it SHOULD be an option.

I see in my blog settings:

Auto-activation for categories after blog posts creation

Not that it would stop them but at least you might be able to tame it.. I see the same thing in a lot of module settings like videos, images and so on.
