I'm confused, what is this all about Topher, I haven't seen any links here from you, where do they go and why do you post them. If such links go to your own Dolphin related support site, do you offer complete support to your members when they join?

A lot of questions here go unanswered, if you are offering a site where questions get answered, I'd join up for sure!

If people here are bullying, why do you do this, bullying is cruel and vindictive, we are all adults here, bickering is below all of us, heal and grow my friends.

I do know that tophers site does get answered and there are some pretty cool free mods available too. Of course there isn't 30,000 people asking the same question, like here how come my ray don't work, why don't my ray upload, or why don't my ray upload more than 2mb's.

I'm sure chris would answer and so would my self if we had all the details or at least a base from what we could go on. Ask us, or anyone else. I'm sure we will get back to you faster than the 4+ day turn around boonex has.

Chris/Topher is my friend and I highly recommend the site and the work. I only know a handful of people that know this much programming and that can integrate it into dolphin and do if for free I might add. So parton my language, but you should really be kissing topher/chris ass when it comes to the free bees topher provides.

I agree topher/chris when they edit my posts for my links I will also be done with this site. So if you edit my links...see ya!!

Yes.  I am just interested in how people view me, spammer, or helper - thats it.  This will dictate my future, thats all.

Hi Topher, I just tried registering but wasn't successful, your form keeps asking for a city input but the form wont let me enter a city name, I am non-us, does this make a difference, have you blocked non-us registrations?

Chis don't let the veiw of 1 or 2 get you down, you have given support were not many will, unless it comes with costs invovled.

You are helping were you can, and your site & talent are showing just that, no limits to what can be done,  the way to have members join any site is to have something to offer, you have just that.

Please direct me to any post I HAVE MADE as you clearly quoted, where I have a person register to get an answer.  Download MY FREE WORKS, yes - but I've been answerig questions here - free - with hours and hours of work for people I have grown to like and am glad are part of my community.  Where are you when a members site gets messed up because they are new and need help, me, i ftp and fix it, for what - FREE.  I don't rely on boonex, dolphin, or my site for revenue.  I am very well off.

Topher this thread was started by me and NO, it was not directed at you.

It was directed at people trying to drag people away from this community to benefit by providing links that offer help but only at their site.

I am disappointed that you have taken offence to this, as I can assure you that was not my intention...

You were not on my mind as one of the people trying to seperate this community...Completely the opposite.

I have seen and even use some of the tips, tricks and Free mods that you have offerred on the site, so why would I set out to make you mad about this....

This was not intended as a personal dig at anyone in particular, I don't have a blacklist of people...

What I actually referred to was people intentionally trying to drag people away from this site by stating they have the answers but will only provide them on xxx.com site.

It seems i have ruffled some feathers with this post and that was not my intention, I was seeking input into people's opinions on others trying to break apart the community.

People who help others, and make solutions for free to all, thats not the point here. There are some rules for this forum, and not always clear .

I think you are a nice guy, that do beautifull work...
Spamming hmmmm don't think so. Its the same when I set a link to my own wphosting site, this will then also spam here if I say got to my site for information  right?

Topher, you need to consider another possibility - that you have a rather serious martyr complex.  As I'm sure you remember, you and I had a difference on one of the threads.  Since I didn't want to have a public pissing contest, I took it to private message, and we had a fairly decent "agree to disagree" exchange - then you finished by saying something absurd - that fully 10 people had written you in the space of a few hours to complain about what I said there.   It was not the truth and you know it - that was mild stuff - there is nothing there that would incite that many people to complain about me- certainly not directly to you.  I have never used your mods - I am told they are good, but if you are going to come here and tell us how much you have suffered for us, maybe you should just not do them.   In any event, if it is against Boonex policy to have advertising links on the posts here then you shouldn't have any special status - no matter how good you are or think you are.

I feel that Topher is a great guy, who wants to help other without any benefits. He is our "go see your Daddy" guy, when we have problems, we all go ask him and he always, and I mean ALWAYS is there for us.

Topher doesn`t charge nor does he try to spam you. Sometimes its better/easier to communicate on his own site, and I don`t see a problem going away from boonex unity to find solutions for my problems.

Topher helped me several times, with codes and advices, using unity and PM and not once I felt like he will mess up my site.

If you guy feel bothered for leaving unity in order to find info, well then don`t. Look for your solutions between milion same posts here.

And it Topher doesn`t respond to your question, I believe its becouse the answer is about 2 posts under your question in the same forum.

A special thanks to Topher, Sammie, DogSaw, GameUtopia, MrPowless and ALL others who are willing to help one way or another. If it wasn`t for you all, our sites would be nothing.

No one said he is not a good person, but this will not be the first time he has gone off here to say how horribly he has been  persecuted on this forum.  I don't really blame anyone who gets free programming for sucking up to him.  If he will really work weeks on end for free developing specialized mods and all you have to do in return is post "you are awesome Topher" - then you have certainly made out.   As Topher revealed here he is "very well off" and doesn't need money - so that is even better, you have a rich guy who is a genius programmer who will work for free for weeks and all you have to do- as gameutopia put it-  is "kiss his ass".   Maybe it is just me, but I think I will pass on that deal.

There is nothing wrong with Topher  - or anybody, starting their own support forum.  I really don't  think it will "divide this community" - but now he has thrown down a gauntlet.  Boonex is deleting affiliate links at the bottom of posts, and he says he will leave this forum unless they make an exception for him.   Truthfully if I were independently wealthy I doubt if I would spend every waking hour programming - even if I had those skills.  I'd be on a tropical island some where with a cool drink in my hand.  Maybe Topher should consider doing that instead- it might give him some perspective.

I love to program, I love to create.  It's part of my nature.  I work, sometimes 16 hours a day, in a field having nothing to do with IT work, even though I have in the past.  I said I was very well off - not rich, but thats okay, I don't need for anything and that may make me rich, especially with the people I have come to know as my friends.

Is that a cry for help Topher?  What exactly do you want?  Do you need more people to come here and suck up to you?  - or do you want people to think, "I was doing all this great work, and then the big, bad Caltrade picked on me, so I am taking my toys and going home".  It doesn't really matter to me - no one is kicking you off this forum, and I don't have the power- unless you give it to me.  Read you own words, from a post that wasn't even aimed at you, and tell us how we are supposed to respond:

Topher, I believe the question is does sacrifice allow for special applications of the rules.  Our devoted men and women fighting for our freedoms overseas, are not allowed to stretch their freedoms when they return.  Are they any less appreciated?  Our police officers that enforce our laws daily, do not by virtue of their postion get the liberty of violating those laws at will.  In fact they are held to a higher standard and dealt with more severly when found to be in violation of things we would be able to walk away from.  I think this whole thread is a non-sensical arguement over wether or not the rules should apply to everyone, or should those who provide their help here should be able to bend those rules.  As a senior leaders here I would believe you should set examples and help to enforce the rules of the forum.  I have said it before in an earlier post that this kind of reminds me of being a little kid watching my parents fighting.  I have visited your site and it is indeed quite a work of art.  I am sure that all you have helped appreciate it.  In fact it shows in the supporters here.  I believe you do indeed have a choice to help at no charge and accept the thanks (when it is freely given) for the work you do, or charge and not complain about the lack of thanks for your work. This is not meant to be yet another attack on you, in fact this whole thread again supports my belief that the ugliness and bad news get oh so much more attention then those trying to create a wave of change.

I have had help from Topher and have also registered on his site. Without him i wouldn't have got 2 mods working correctly. More users should be like him. After all dolphin software is free so why should people pay to get advise or mods for a free piece of software.  Keep up the good work Topher!

Yes, I have fake profiles, roughly half my site, my goal is not to be a dolphin support site, it is to be a community of sharing. I have not even advertised yet - too busy constructing. But, we all start somewhere, and I'm not ashamed, you act like I should be. I am very confident in my abilities, this is not my only website - only community, yes.
