Tinymce editor for blogs is too basic

Boonex: Is ther some technical reason you gave blogs such a simplified version of the TinyMCE editor?  I know that this only involves tinymce_init, so why was the editor made so simplified?

I totally agree with this post.

I'm not sure what to do with this one, since it's not a bug.  I may just enter it in trac as a task, and see what happens.  It could just be that the bogs feature, in particular, integration of tinyMCE with safeHTML/HTMLpurifier is not complete.  I may enter this as a task..... it they mark it as invalid, it wil mean that they aren't finished coding the blog feature.

That could also explain why the TinyMCE doesn't appear for the comments areas.

It wouldn't hurt to add it to Trac. They may have forgotten about it along the way, in which case it basically *would* be a bug.

They did call this "Feature Final" afterall.

OK, I enetered this as an enhancement, Ticket # 698

Considering the fact that there are other instances of TinyMCE that are not fully implemented, such as in comments editor, I am led to believe that Boonex still has work to do.  There is likely work in progress concerning TinyMCE & safeHTML / HTML Purifier integration.  Still, it would be nice to know.  If ticket # 698 gets marked invalid, we'll know.
