TinyMCE4 integration (AndrewP)

AndrewP "TinyMCE4 integration" support thread is here

Quote · 9 Dec 2014

This looks great Andrew.  Is this a jump ahead of Dolphins plans to update TinyMCE? The skin options are awesome. I hope that this is made available for the updated version next year. Great work and thanks.

There already was the integration of the tinymce at market. In my plans was to offer something better, with additional useful possibilities.

Is this compatible with DeeEmm's TinyMCE Media Browser?  I've had it before I just found this. I installed your mod but I can't upload video directly from my computer.  The 'source' doesn't seem to have a way to upload.  Thanks for any help.

I can not answer this question exactly because I've never used the DeeEmm's TinyMCE Media Browser

I'm afraid, that due the fact that this mod was published (and even updated) more than 4 years ago (17.05.10), it certainly was made for the old version of TinyMCE. So, first thing you need is to get the upgraded version of that plugin, otherwise it won't be compatibility with TinyMCE v4.

There is the better plugin to add (upload) images from your computer: http://justboil.me/ (that is already integrated with the TinyMCE 4)

My menu is mce.jpg.  The one from the tinymce website is mce correct.jpg

These are the menus that pop up after selecting insert->image or insert -> video.

Yes, you described the standard possibilities to add photos/videos.

But you forgot about the new plugin:  http://www.boonex.com/modules/Market/data/images/A/An/AndrewP/rl/358341.jpg

I am using 7.1.4., so obviously there is a misunderstanding.  I am not inquiring about the upload button you keep referring to.  I have no problems with that button.  It works as it should for uploading an image.  We do not need to discuss anything related to the Upload button.

There are two other buttons that you can also access through the menu.  (see "other two buttons.jpg") The titles are specifically "insert video" and "insert image".  These are separate from the "upload" button and bring up a different menu.  Currently, the menu that shows up looks like the attached picture (mce.jpg).  Apparently, it should have a browse button as shown on the tinymce website (mce correct.jpg)  The missing browse buttons are circled in red.

I am asking for help getting those browse buttons in mce correct.jpg to appear and function correctly.  I am also asking for help in getting the wysiwyg to show and function correctly in the admin section.  Only after installation does the wysiwyg disappear from the admin section and I do not understand why.  I removed the previous  DeeEmm's TinyMCE Media Browser module.  I follow installation directions very well, and I triple check after myself.  This is the first time I've had trouble with an installation I couldn't figure out myself.  I really need your assistance because this is the only thing keeping me from launching my website now.  My members need to be able to upload videos from their computers.

Thank you for your understanding.

The two upload buttons that you mentioned are the MoxieManager (paid plugin)

http://snag.gy/hWq7x.jpg

If you need it, you need to purchase this plugin separately: http://www.moxiemanager.com/getit/

That is the main reason of adding the additional (free) plugin: Justboil.me, because not everybody can purchase the MoxieManager.

The integration works correctly in admin panel: http://snag.gy/R00X6.jpg

However you need to check your installation, probably the module was uploaded in text (auto) mode that corrupted sources. Make sure that you uploaded sources in binary mode

Great plugin but I have one problem.. In messages if I reply. I get a that I need to fill in a description? There is no description in the mail? Only subject and body. Seems to happen when you reply to a message you already have.

Thanks for your help..

How do I check this.  So far I have only used dreamweaver to upload files directly, and the admin section to install.  I have not had any problems with installing mods until now.  Thank you for your help.

Thank you for showing me what your mod should look like from someone else's site.  The attached picture is what it currently looks like on my site after installation.  If I uninstall, the original wysiwyg shows back up.  Obviously, the integration is not working in the admin section on MY site.

Will you help me to get this installed correctly on my site, please?

Hello TruckingSpace, thank you for your note, yes, it was another one place where the tinymce was mentioned, I've just added 7th point to the instruction:

7) With Notepad++ or any other text editor (Zend as example), open the file 'inc/js/mail_box.js'

  Search for (line 214):

            var ed = tinyMCE.get(htmlSelectors[0]);

  Change it with:

            var ed = tinymce.activeEditor;

  Search for (line 264):

                    tinyMCE.execCommand('mceRemoveControl', false, htmlSelectors[0]);

  Change it with:

                    tinymce.remove();

  Save the file.

Hi Kregg, here is one simple way to understand if you uploaded sources in the text or the binary mode - to compare sizes of uploaded files. If they are exactly equal as they are at your computer - everything is OK, I've just made screenshot of main files of the module:  http://snag.gy/JnwZV.jpg

compare it with your files at FTP
