Hey all,
Can anyone advise when it will be safe/okay to start using Dolphin 7, is it due to come out of Beta soon?
I recently switched over to Boonex Dolphin (Version 6) and relaunched my website yet about 99% of my members are not able to upload music/videos and this is an integral aspect of my site. I can't appear to get any support of these forums to resolve the problem and I have carried out extensive testing on Dolphin 7 and uploading files is working perfectly so I am really desperate to upgrade my site from Dolphin Version 6 to Dolphin Version 7.
Can anyone offer me any advise on this please?

Thanks for the reply but that's what I'm trying to find out... When IS the official release? The support from Boonex is terrible, can I pay for support, someone we can at least get some official answers from?? |
I'm not sure there is an exact date. There's probably a tentative date in mind but I don't know that it's been leaked to us. My bet is that they're not giving a date so as not to cause any problems if it's late. Better to have it all in good working order before the final release. Even then I'm sure there will be some bugs that need to be worked on, albiet small ones.
Personally I'm guessing a couple of more months for the final release.

Do you, or anyone else here, have any inside info on when the next beta version will be released? At one point they said they would do it weekly. I have had several unsucessful installs on my php4 server. When I write Boonex about this they just say that the "open_basedir" parameter needs to be cleared - but my hosting company assures
me that it has been cleared. I was going to try again on my php 5 server, but if a new version is coming out within the next few days I will probably just wait. If anyone knows, please let me know.
