Thumbnails

Is anyone else having problems getting thumbnails out of dolphin when converting videos? Firstly, there seems to be no way for me to modify "when" the system grabs the thumbnail or how many to make from one file during conversion. It seems I only have that problem with some mp4 files and flv files. Or perhaps it's just taking a thumbnail of the first frame which is dark so when it appears on my site it shows as if there is no thumbnail. How do i fix this? my site is www.badmet.com/index.php check the video section to see an example of what i mean.. have also enclosed a screenie :D  Please help!

there is a topic here on how to set the thumbnail a couple of seconds into it so your thumbnail is not black/blank

I'll search for it and let you know.. It's one from a year and half so it will take some time to find it.

http://www.boonex.com/forums/topic/thumbnail-image-of-video-for-albums.htm

do this,

Line 259

/flash/modules/video/inc/functions.inc.php

function grabImages($sInputFile, $sOutputFile, $iSecond = 0, $bForse = false)

change to

function grabImages($sInputFile, $sOutputFile, $iSecond = 20, $bForse = false)

[edit] You can experiment with the "20" to get the "sweet spot" of the videos..

The videos you have already submitted, or that are on-site now, will not be fixed as this happens when the video is first upload and converted..
