Thumbnails at top of Photo module having problems

This isn't the first time I've experienced this. It's happened on many sites I've installed Dolphin on and I've never been able to find a fix for it. With regards to the photo module, at some point, inevitably - especially after a user deletes a photo, the top thumbnails seem to break. All it ends up showing at the top is the loading indicator forever (see below).

What I would like to know is:

1. Is there a way to recompile the photos or check links as I think that's what's actually causing the problems? 

2. How do I simply remove the preview set at the top in the event I can't get the photos to work right?

(1) If your site uses SSL, check that SSL is working properly. In a case where the site loads over http while there is SSL for your site, "the Loading..." forever thing can happen.

(2) Also, test is in different browsers to see if the problem is with one browser or all browsers

(3) Also check your internet connection to see if it has the right speed to browse pages correctly

HOW TO REMOVE IT

To remove that, go to photos home at your admin via this link http://yourdomain/administration/pageBuilder.php?Page=bx_photos_home

And then remove "Cover" from the first column
