This is a new folder to me! gzip loader.php

Hello All!

I just upgraded to Dolphin v7.0.6 and now I want to do some template editing.  I use the Google Chrome browser and when I want to edit my template I use the Google Chrome Editor to see what folders to go to edit my template.  I want to change the top menu color and on the old version I had I would go to templates/tmpl_mytemplate/css and click on edit for topmenu.css then I would edit what wanted and it worked but now they have a new folder I never seen.  This happen after I upgraded and I don't know how to edit anything in this folder or don't know what this folder is.  Can some one help me with this please.

The folder is gzip loader.php and i have a image attachment. Look where you see the finger pointing at.

go to the admin panel settings --> advanced settings --> and turn off your template caching. leave it off during development, then turn it back on when you go to production......

Thanx DosDawg

Your answer definitely worked!  But when you finish development and go back and click on "Enable cache for css files and js files all the work I did goes back to the original issue.  Am I doing something wrong?

well you lost me on that one. yes, there is a reason....

dolphin is like unrefined wine, sometimes you gotta spit it back out a few times in order to acquire the taste.

if you turned off caching as suggested, and made your changes and then you turned caching back on, and your results went away, that is because you are looking at cached data coming from the /cache dir and cache_public dir of your dolphin site.

its relatively common knowledge here that anything you do with dolphin, most specifically related to aesthetics, you have to dump the cache directory and cache_public directory.

in the cache directory, you will select all, and deselect the .htaccess, then delete all of the cached files

in cache_public select all and delete all

sometimes you have to go steps further, such as clearing your browsers cache, dumping your cookies from your browser and the history.

sometimes you have to restart your browser completely, and sometimes you have to ipconfig /FLUSHDNS your local ISP connection.....

as i stated, unrefined wine at times, it requires an acquired taste.....:)

I know this thread is quite old, but now I'm having the same problem (Dolphin 7.1.1 plus a purchased theme) and I can't find the "template caching" (as in Advanced Settings there's no template options and in template settings I can't find any "template caching" option either)
Does anybody know how can I change the css and see the results?
thx in advance.

Go to Tools ---> Cache ---> Settings. Here you can disable or enable cache settings.

Sometimes you have to leave the cache off; I have problems with Dolphin caching; or some of the cache items, and have to leave them off.  It could be my setup of course.
