I see that the newest version have a place where you could change the theme on your site does anyone knows how it work and changed their theme? Also how would it work on a darker background could the color of the text be changed also?

create a duplicate of any of the existing templates - then change the folder name and the name in the BxTemplName.php page. Turn off all caches - then, use the element inspector to play around with things - then make actual changes in your new template.

Note that for more advanced changes, it's better to create a custom template and make CSS edits, like ProfessorSr said.

The last PDF file shows how it can be done using your browser, but it's tedious unless you have Dolphin installed on your home PC.

The first two tutorials can help there, but I'd start with the Site Customiser.
