The newboonex website is extremely unprofessional.

I think this is a huge mistake. Especially the huge fonts. If your website looks unprofessional  then how to do you expect people to trust hat Dolphin is any better? (although white space handling really is bad).

It looks like you are really trying to attract people with all those graphics but it just doesnt work like that and when people want to purchase Dolphin http://www.boonex.com/paymentprovider/payment it looks like you are trying to visually rape them. The dashed out "non existent old price" is one thing but what I find even less professional is the "industry typical" part. It really makes you look too desperate.

I just want to be honest, I dont want to school anyone. Some things should be changed here. You are going way over the line. I think it is better to attract people with a perfect product rather than the visually overwhelming and penetrating new web design. The cool new navigation and new homepage wont help very much if the rest is bad. I get tired very quickly from this new site. Also too much vertical scrolling.

I've tried to use it on three different computers with 3 different browsers on each and it looks horrible and is a pain to read on all 3.

I agree, while the new design isn't unprofessional I think its rather just impractical. Just look at WordPress.org, Drupal.org or Joomla.org. Also, why isn't the new design responsive? Why isn't the new dolphin responsive? Have you considered this?

It is actually almost embarrassing.  I had a potential client I wanted to show this just before the change but I held off after they trashed it.  I am of the opinion that if Boonex had used the exact same script to run this community as we use to try to run ours, this package would be years ahead of where it is now.  In addition to the other open software companies mentioned having far more professional websites there are a few other differences.  One, the suggestions of their communities are more actively incorporated into their products and two - they can point to LOTS of successful sites.   That is the main issue that should be addressed here in my opinion - too many of us have sites that have never gotten any traction.  Some of that may be our fault, but not necessarily all of it.
