I installed this without too much trouble on my local server. I am just testing the thing out, trying various functions, etc. I added a phoney classified ad and there is a place - of course - where you enter a price. There is some sort of symbol.....lol - frankly, I have no idea what it is....I simply know that it's not a dollar sign. Of course, the dummy account I was using put my home as the Christmas Islands, I think..... I actually changed that to see if it had any bearing on the whole deal - it did not. How do you set this thing up (I've looked everywhere) so that you could enter US dollar amounts in the classifieds...? Good lord - is there any comprehensive documentation for this thing - anywhere?
In fact, I just found a field in the admin area that says something like "default currency symbol" - and it's set to a dollar sign....which is not what's showing up in the classifieds.
