Testing 7.1.1 on PHP 5.6

I am testing 7.1.1 on PHP 5.6; 7.1.1 is the current version on my site.  No install errors, no run errors except I had to turn off permalinks.  I am not testing on my dedicated; this is on a shared hosting account I have where I can set the PHP versions for each domain.

Anyone else testing Dolphin on 5.6?  I know some are running Dolphin on 5.5.

We have 5.6 available as an option, but I don't believe anybody has used it. I suppose I can make a test account and fool around. I'll report back in a few.

Update: Works fine on Dolphin 7.1.4 (including permalinks). I don't have any older versions around at the moment to check.

I am not sure I would run a production site on php 5.6.x; I would have to clone my site so I have something to really test with.  I am thinking of running on 5.5.x; current is .34 I think.  The reason is the built in opcode cache in php 5.5.x.

I decided to do a new server install with PHP 5.6.  Outside of deprecated and strict on a few things, did not see any problems.  I cloned our production site and saw no problems with it.

telling you now if you use 5.6.x on current dolphin you better make sure you have error_log size set...  if not, your error log will grow by the gigs...

Yes, true; seeing the deprecated mysql_connect; I assume when we get the great Dolphin Pro; after all, Pro means better correct, that all these deprecated issues will be gone.

It is absurd that with Dolphin 7.1.4 they are still saying  PHP 5.2.0 or higher.  And of course with higher comes the fact that things might have changed with php since version 5.2 so that Dolphin might not work on higher.
