Visit this url with your mobile phone, and let me know how well, or how badly the menu responds.

This template isn't even close to being done, so I don't need any reports on layout issues that do not involve the menu.... I'm already aware of all the layout issues. So far this only has the main menu links... no sub menus yet. The menu uses jQuery mobile, and should respond better than the hover pseudo class in bringing up the menu.
This is not going to be part of a standard template... it's only a mobile template. You will be able to use it with any template by replacing your templates BxTemplConfig.php file with one that detects a mobile browser user agent, and switched to this template.

nice work, i have noticed 1 thing, don't know if this is to do with the menu or the layout so sorry if it's to do with the layout and you already know about it, when the menu was open and i clicked outside of the menu block to close it, the menu block closed fine but then page narrowed |
Same here. iPhone 5c. Menu works fine. But when it closes the page size shrinks. But that may be a layout issue and not a menu issue. https://www.deanbassett.com |
RE:
i clicked outside of the menu block to close it
How do you click with a mobile phone?

Tap outside the menu.
LOL. I think i used the word click a while back. https://www.deanbassett.com |

See if it does the same thing with a L-R swipe to close it. My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
My test was with safari. I have chrome as well. I will test that now. https://www.deanbassett.com |
It's the same on chrome as well.
I also tried both tapping outside the menu to close and swiping as well. The results were the same. The page size shrunk. https://www.deanbassett.com |
Can you post a screen shot of the shrunken page? My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
I can at least post a screen shot of what it should look like with the menu open,

After seeing your screen shot and mine, it appears the page shrinks when the menu is opened, not when it is closed. This is based on the position of the menu and the size of the photo thumbnails.

Your also logged in. I am not. So perhaps it behaves differently for guests vrs members.

I think you said you have a iPhone 4.
I have a iPhone 5.
The screen resolution on a iphone 5 is higher then the iphone 4. Not sure if that is a contributing factor or not in this case. https://www.deanbassett.com |
I just changed one small thing. If you could reload the page and see if the behavior has changed, I'd appreciate it. My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees. |
That did it. Seems to be working fine now. https://www.deanbassett.com |
The previous method is supposed to 'push' the main content to the left, and I knew it wasn't working like it was supposed to, but on my phone it worked like the 'overlay' method, which is what I just switched it to. I must have some content that doesn't want to be pushed.
I'm going to switch it back to where it was and fiddle with it some more. I'd like to get the 'push' part working before I get stuck in a do-nothing loop like I was last weekend.

I've decided to stay with the reveal method, instead of the push panel. The push panel requires too much more js and css added to the jqm custom build, and the cute effect is just not worth that much more overhead. Then again, maybe I'll stay with the push panel.

That one works.
