Support requests into product review

I think it's a common problem for vendors.

Many times the customers require support for a products using the review area.

This is the first issue, a visitor is confused because here there are not only reviews but also request of support.

The second problem it's that this requests were done without the rate for the product (the stars for the vote).

So, my question is: Whay do you think about ?

For example, can be assigned a moderator to remove the support request from the review of a market post?

This is just our proposal.

I agree. The comments area in the Market is solely for the purpose of leaving a review. I personally think that every product in the Market should have a support forum attached just for this purpose. This way members have a place to post issues they are having.

 

If they have general questions about a module, they should contact the developer via PM here at Unity. Of course you are going to have those people who just dont read and not bother to look for a forum and still leave support questions in the review comments. As moderators, we can 'hide' these if contacted.

 

Making sure you use the 'stars' during rating helps with the points generation for the developer. Leaving a great review is awesome, but also please make sure you choose the amount of stars you wish to rate the product during the review.

I concur, but I would also like to add that support forums be attended by developers regularly and help provided to users within a reasonable time frame.

Some of the issues can be eliminated by providing a bit more operational detail on the mods uses in terms of setup.

Reminds me of the people who use the report feature for support or sales questions.  We can't remove those, so a bunch of developers have false reports on their products.  What makes people think reporting a product is the same as asking the developer a question?
