Suddenly getting - Undefined+Authentication failed

Hi

I have had everything running fine for a long while on my 6.14 ad free Dolphin and Ray.

Now I noticed that members who go to chat get a 'user authentication failed'

and if I go to Presence I get a 'undefined' message.

My first thought was that the Ray licences have unregistered themselves but when I

(first uninstalled flashplayer10 and installed flashplayer9)

went into the Ray admin - I could log into chat through Admin properly

and there is no sign or unregistered apps.

Any suggestion why this might suddenly start happening?

The profile music player works okay still.

Im afraid I dont use most of the other Ray featureslike Board, or Video

so I cant say if they are working or not.

1.  Is your site running in Free mode?  Sounds like it's not

2.  Were you utilizing the free RMS from Boonex?

3.  Sounds like we need Boonex to verify if they finally shut down the RMS like they've been talking about doing.  If so, then you need to get a new RMS Connection.  But that is what it sounds like.

4.  If your not on the Free RMS from Boonex and leasing from someone else or have your own RMS, then the RMS needs rebooted.

Thanks MyDatery - Ive done some more experimenting and it turns out the problem is not what I described.

The problem only affects one profile that I know of.

This particular profile - although Ray music player works - gets the 'user authentication failed' in Chat

and if I go to Presence 'undefined' message.

Ive reset the password on the account and checked that it is fully active...

Is there somewhere in the database that is corrupted that is not recognising this account - just for Chat and Presence?

I sent an IM from another account to this one and the message box came through.

But when I clicked accept the main Chat window openned and then gave the same error message.

My site is hosted by DolphinGeeks and I have the ad free licences installed for everything.

When you say is the site running in free mode... do you mean that anyone can join and is immediately active without payment? In that case yes it is in free mode.

Go into your phpMyAdmin and have it check the database & repair it if there are any problems.  That may solve your problem right there.

Thanks I'll try that. I think the problem has disappeared....

Weird.

I had cleaned the cache, closed the browsers, and it persisted....

Gremlins...?
