Subscribing to all forums automatically

Is there a way to subscribe to all forums automatically, once the forum is set up?

I can see subscriptions for each forum but not the at the root?

To clarify, I have a forum structure with five main areas or forums...  my members want to be able to be notified of any new post or thread via their notifications... I am using MODZZZ plugin for notifications, but have an issue with forums...  seems like you have to subscribe to each topic...  instead of the entire forum.  So, if a member chooses to be notified about forum activity they will get notifications about all topics, posts and threads.

I am hoping someone has an answer...

On a busy site that could mean that your members are flooded with emails. I'm not sure that's a good way of keeping them.

Have you considered "Forum Posts" which can be dragged from Inactive Blocks and placed somewhere on your home page. It seems to list all the latest posts.

Then there is Forums Spy which is in the Forums sub-menu. It also lists all new posts.

Always think twice about flooding your members with emails. If they're interested in the forums, a well planned forum will assist them greatly.
