Subscribe to event doesn't work

When I subscribe to an event, it doesn't show in the participants list nor in the participants counter.

Someone else having this issue ?

Subscribing to an event does not make you a participant/fan. That just means you will get notified if something gets updated/posted to that event.

If you want to show in the participants box, you have to Join the event, not subscribe to it.

Hi Zarcon, thanks for your reply. That was my mistake. In Dutch 'subscribe' means 'taking part', so I made wrong interpretation.

Strange : there is no button 'join' in my events module. I looked in the database and it's there, so I didn't remove it.

Why doesn't this button show up in the event ?

I found my mistake : I set the 'allow participants by membership' on 'standard' and it should be 'everyone'.

I don't understand the meaning of this privacy setting. Can someone explain this ?
