Store products

Can anyone help me, i have been researching and researching and testing the store product, even created a sandbox account, but for some reason if a user clicks on add to cart then checks out & proceeds with the whole purchase they are not redirected to the product. In addition if u attempt to go back to the product in which u bought, the download button is not there. Help please!

Wait, for real? Are you sure? The shop product is the most important part for my site. I dont want people to call their lawyers! omg.

Can anyone confirm that the shop isnt working?

Ok I can confirm that the shop module is not working as it should. I tried it as well now and I dont get redirected to the product neither do I see the download button.

Also see this topic http://www.boonex.com/forums/topic/store-2009-08-17.htm

I mean as long as we are still in Beta I think we should fix at least this shop bug where the user is not redirected to their purchase

Did you put your paypal info in the right place?

There are 2 places to put this and both serve different functions.

the paypal info in admin / modules / payments is NOT for the store. this is for paid memberships....

to configure store, goto your account on the site, then payments, then settings.

This is where you configure payments for store products.

You need to set up all the right paypal or other payments info here, plus make sure you copy the data return URL into your paypal account.

Not tested store on 7.1 yet as my 7.1 sites dont use store. However, my old 7.0.9 sites do and it works fine.

Hope this helps.

a couple of questions that I have seen asked frequently in assisting help issues - did you use an autoinstaller, and have you made ANY manual coding changes to the site.

Now after 3 months im back visiting boonex and still no progress. Looks like the entire community is all about Alpha testing. If the Shop doesnt work then I will certainly forget Dolphin since I dont want any legal issues with users.

Sincerely,

R

Ok anyone else here with this issue?

Is the store set up on the demo site?  If not, then ask Alex to get it set up so we can test it.  I don't have the shop set up on my site so can not test this.

And from the lack of answers, I guess no one else has shops set up either.

I have tested the store in 7.1 and it works fine. For members to sell in the store you need to make sure the following happens:

- Members go to Account > Payments

- Click Settings, then the arrow next to PayPal (for example)

- Make sure the setting look like this:

  • Active = Checked
  • Mode = Live
  • Business = their PayPal email address
  • Process Type = Direct
  • Connection Type = HTML
  • Identity Token and Sandbox can be left blank

Note the Data return URL :

http://www.yourwebsite.com/m/payment/act_finalize_checkout/paypal/1 <-- this number should reflect the memberID

The member will then need to go to their PayPal account and Login. And then:
- Click Profile > Website Payment Settings
- Auto Return = ON
- Return URL = The Data return URL from the payment settings page as mentioned above.

This setup should work.

Note: When setting up a product in the store you MUST include something in the "Product Files" section or else you will not see a 'add to cart' button.

Thanks Zarcon, i will try to test it. Just have a question, i just did the upgrade to 7.1, it should have corrected the problem by doing the upgrade ? Of course considering that the seller has all the right setup in their papal?

Upgrading to 7.1 wouldn't have anything to do with it. It's more than likely the setup.

Question, the admin of the site has to have a return url setup in PayPal correct, obviously with the proper url and id number?
