Still ... for Video Upload Fix...

This video upload problem for the D&3 is driving me nuts. I'm still waiting for a fix, but see that the boones staff must take the weekends off.

Mine upload, but never seem to process or something. They eventually show up only after I "Activate" them in the admin panel, never show a thumbnail, and display an "Error, file not found" message while attempting to play them. I am 50% sure my setting are correct, 49% frustrated, and 1% possibly wrong about my settings.

Does anyone have a fix yet?

Thank

There has been a ticket created on the trac for that issue.

Having same issue.  I have attempted to upload videos via flash and regular.   It shows the progress, but videos do not take or process.  I checked the ticket

http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/ticket/843

And it shows the following.  Yet, I still am unable to get videos to process.  Any ideas or anyone else still having video upload problems?

Are you using godaddy shared hosting? If so, the d73 is misconfigured with the exeutable files. godaddy said they don't allow exe files today. However, d6 and d7b1 works. stumped...

Yes I am also facing the same issue with the flash upload. Using regular it works. As for the track ticket 843 - it says that it has been fixed but for Milestone = "Dolphin 7.0 (Hookie) Beta 4". So hopefully this issue should have been resolved in the next release. Lets hope for the best

No, I  do not use godaddy hosting.   Dophin 6.current releases is fine on hosting we use.   The video was fine on beta 2.

It appears it is just not corrected fully.  Palz, I was surprised to see you got regular upload to work.  I tried that as well but  still no luck.

Sure like the looks at 7.0 and sure hope for the best in speedy release to move forward.

Will keep eye on the post here to see any other comments.  Thanks all for updating!!

If you are in a position to do so, and savvy enough, you can insert the bug fixes individually from

http://www.boonex.com/trac/dolphin/browser/trunk?order=date&desc=1

or

download the entire trunk directory, overwrite beta 3 files, and perform a fresh install with all the latest fixes over top of beta 3.

Doing this though, only updates up to the last bug fix. Seemingly, there are several per day, for 5 days a week. The last ones at the current time were made 15 hours ago.

Ok I finally got a video uploaded and converted after many diff tries, heres what was happening on my install. the default cron that was created was wrong, on one install the path was incorect /usr/share/ my path was usr/bin... the other issue was it was calling for a file phpparanoid to be executed and that file  was not in the periodic file.... i reset the proper path and php -q cron.php and the videos are now working and the convert emails are flowing... but I still have profile video comments showing the jpg but file not found when trying to play back.... any way make sure your cron from install is correct and that at least has fixed the video upload out side of video comments..

i am glad you got yours working. Yes, during install, the path can be generated as the wrong path, that's why I browse for my file from the cron manager. However, I still have no luck.

Also, I think that there was a video comments fix last night from the bug fixes. Did you update all the latest fixes from "trac"?

I havent installed that yet, but I did find one more interesting thing I had to repair on second isntall same server, once the cron reported the incorrect path, it also recorded the incorect path into the header.inc file automaticaly and i had to go back in and fix that before the php -q command would work properly, seems it randomly picks path this time it was completly different from the first time and it was trying to execut php.gf -q since it didnt find the right folder. I also am on an ubuntu server with ispconfig so my results may be different..
