Stickies in Orca

I've searched high and low for the answer to this, so if it's been asked before, please forgive me.

Have installed a few sites back in the day with Dolphin 6, and this is my first Dolphin 7 install.

On my forums, I have the ability to make a thread a sticky, but once the thread is started the option to make it a sticky is gone?

Neither admin nor what I have setup as a "moderator" class has the ability to turn an already started thread into a sticky.

Is this a limitation of Orca, or is it a setting someplace I've missed?

I need to find a solution or look to another site package other than Dolphin fairly soon, as this is a must have for this particular site.

Thanks in advance ;)

I came to the forums to ask this same question - figured I'd just bump this topic rather than clutter the forum with another one.

Is there a way to make a post sticky after it's been published?

open your database in cPanel phpMyadmin

table is bx_forum_topic

find posting and click Edit...

locate last_post_when you will see some data i.e. 1349329169 copy it,.

locate topic_sticky and paste 1349329169 there and save..

the numbers used above are an example..

[edit] clear your cache folders, oh and be careful make backups if your new to this

Actually, while that worked on a one off basis, this wasn't what I was looking for - because I don't want to have to do this every time a post that's already been submitted is deemed worthy of being made sticky...I'm not giving everyone on the moderation team access to utilize that fix....

What I was hoping for was something on the site itself within the Manage Forum menu, not having to dig into the database every single time. But from the looks of things, that's something that isn't implemented...

Appreciate your help though!
