Stampede!!

HELP!   Somebody stop BoonEx from creating a new blog for every FAQ topic.  Quick... somebody create an FAQ Foum.

Agreed, but they will get lost there also. So a link to that forum should be on the menu, in the support section and everywhere else for that matter. Otherwise, all their efforts are pointless because they are all going to get lost among all the other posts and because no one uses the search the same questions will continue to be asked.

They should create a separate module for their news, and add a page in Trac for FAQ's. I don't know how to respond to that mess in the blogs section.

HL, I agree I really don't see the issue with people using this forum for help when its been helping everyone. To create a new forum just seems tedious

I don't really like the new way they doing the blogs either. Really Boonex, just make a FAQ section and leave the blogs for other things. It really jams up the bog section and well it does not look very professional with all that in blogs. I was shocked to see so many blogs on things that should have their own section. Cool And Huston was not saying make a new forum, he was saying make a new SPOT in the forums for FAQ section.  lol

The world is spinning faster now.  People need answers quickly and others need things explained to them "child style".  My suggestion would be that Boonex add a Video Forum or Video Blog so some of the Advanced users could just drop quick Camtasia Video Tuts on how to do certain things.  Yeah, yeah, yeah....I know it'll take up server space but for this, I think it would be well worth it.  People would much rather watch a narrated video tutorial on how to do something that scan 200 forum posts looking for an answer.

 

The only legwork that Boonex would have to do is help properly categorize the videos and screen a few idiots who will no doubt try to squeeze spam and porn through.  This can be fixed with a simple screening and flagging process.  Rocket science, it is not.
