Are you using the free notification module designed to work with all of the developers products? It may help. |
I'm not sure which one you're saying. Could you please be more specific or send me a link? |
This is the free notification module for ibdw modules. http://www.boonex.com/m/IBDW_Email_Notifications_for_the_IlBelloDelWEB_modules I am thinking of using it too, but have soem research to do first.
Hope it helps. |
I have the spy module and am using the Free Email mod that you should use. I recommend you use it. It informs members when one comments on the wall, "likes" etc via email. The only issue with the free mod is that there is no control for those members that do not wish to receive any updates. I mean just try it and see how it works for your members. Easy to uninstall |
Thanks for the help! But I'm really looking for on-site notification instead of email notification. Facebook's notification is a perfect example. |
They have their own mod to show you onsite; this maybe what you are looking for; http://www.boonex.com/m/SpyActivities_mod_IBDW_FlashNews_Scroll_2010_07_09

No. That isn't it. Facebook's notification is a great example. When you comment or like your friends' posts or comments/status, it will notify your friends on their pages. And when your friends click on it, it will take them exactly to the comments/like etc.. |
I don't use FB a lot, only for presence. It must be me, but I find it too cumbersome and time consuming. like I said it must be me. Hey, I have my own socio-economic site to promote.

Ok. I understand. But thanks! |
I used it for a while but like you said, there's no individual controls. It also tends to swamp your email server with outgoing mail if your wall gets heavy usage. I ended up turning it off. http://towtalk.net ... Hosted by Zarconia.net! |
