Spammers Joining...brand new site!!!

Hi,

I was wondering how they find ones new site so fast?

I bought a new domain, uploaded the script, loaded some content - added Google Analytics, and webmaster tools, and submitted my sitemap to Google.

Within days - I have people joining the site and adding shit to the site. I make them confirm their email. I get some that do not confirm - they are using fake emails - that is fine.

I get people confirming emails and then throwing shit stuff on the site not related to the site. I have to ban them and got through the stuff and disaprove it.

How do they do it - it is hardly showing organically in Google yet.

What are my options - I can't manually approve all members.

A lot of spammers will in-fact be finding your site via Boonex  and by also searching for common dolphin URL paths at engines for example: /blogs/home/

Most spammers will be bots and there are many good solutions available at Boonex to help prevent such .... Just search forum for solutions!

ideas to help stop spam:

1) charge small fee to access features that can be spammed (spammers never pay)

2) add security question to join page (most bots don't understand how to pass this point)

3) blocking china helps many people stop spam!

4) block particular emails from joining (common spammer emails can be researched and blocked)

5) split join page (I know this helps many people)
