Size DO matter!

Hmm....

I got to this point of comparing file sizes for 1 minute video recordings.

Turning on via flash apps settings for the option: save video quality when converting.

It produced:

4.flv = 15 mb

4.jpg = 17 kb

4.mp4 = 2 mb  Note: video looks very "stretched"

4_small.jpg = 4 kb

Total of about 30 mb.

Just for one recording ???

Turned off save video quality when converting.

It produced:

4_small.jpg = 4 kb

6.flv = 2 mb

6.jpg = 15 kb

6_small = 4 kb

Total about little over 2 mb.

What? I loved the clear quality of the video that was recorded and shown to visitors instead of that very "pixeled" video after being converted. I have 100 quality and 24 fps set via flash apps.

Please advise! I would run out of disk space with a couple hundreds of registered users.

Please advise.

You can have your cake and eat it too. http://www.boonex.com/unity/forums/topic/Flash-Video-Quality-Mod-.htm

You still have to decide how much quality vs how big. but this is how to find that line. The only thing missing now is whe /if you deselect Allow Download, Convert for Mobile it shold not create the mobi and mp4 files to save additional space.

Enjoy,
