Could enyone post his site was working "out of the box" after install and have some visitors(at lest 500/day), and the page is still runing normaly? This script looks good, but I read many people are complaining about bugs and many more. I just read guy spent 5000usd for programers. I am not intending to spent any monny only for link removal for pages with trafic and potential. Could someone show page with many members and not spending money for bug fixes? And if there is one could post a link to page.

well, there are many who have tried to run this platform on a nickel, and many have faced headaches and heartaches. there are many sucessful running dolphin sites, those do however require pampering. dolphin does run out of the box per se' but depending on your exact requirements and expectations you would need to get it loaded and ascertain the exact performance for yourself.
there are many factors that come into play here number one being the server you are trying to run dolphin on. you are not going to find the $1.99 hosting providers willing to do your site justice. so your comment that you are not looking to spend any money, could prove to be a detrimental statement. if you are not a programmer, and/or not a designer familiar with CSS, then you might as well get ready to spend some money.
in essence $5k is really considered cheap when you are talking about customizing this platform to meet your specific needs. Boonex provides the base foundation, and with that you are able to do with it what your whims desire. if you wish to not spend money, then your site will remain default or you will need to be able to program.

Can you define what you mean by out of the box? IE absolutely no 3rd party mods installed? It may be tough to find such a site - I recieve 300-500 visits a day but my site is by no means out of the box any more..

It's not so much afraid of critique as it is avoiding uninvited guests from finding their site. I get enough requests to increase my SEO every day, don't need to increase that volume by displaying my URL here for the world to see.

There are a lot of people running fairly successful sites on Dolphin, but those people are not members of Unity (or do not take part in the community). I've stumbled across some sites randomly, while other times a search for Dolphin-specific URLs will yield some interesting results.

of course spending money for hosting like 10usd per month thats normal, but I just wonder does script without modification works for long time and with some traffic or its starting making errors, problems etc. Because OsDate witch is free runs "out of the box" but it is not as nice looking as dolphin, and its just for dating not community. I can do some some css and html.
I wonder what modifications are most common you are doeing?

300-500 is not that much to worry about I would think..

You could perform a stress test by yourself .. buy some traffic, 10.000 views in a single day or so.. will cost you about $10-$20
this will answer your question. but those pageviews will only come to your index.php and 99% of the bought traffic will not go to any other page.
But it will give you a good indication how your site performs under 'stress'
