from his profile the site is buggy. had problems trying to install points system and conflict with other mods.

he seams to be just trying to pon off his problems on some one who knows just as little as he does about dolphin.

buyer beware.

Listen Jeremy & Ryver you may buy or not but pl dont spread rumor every body knows dolphin needs customisation some times problems come and it again rectified by experts if i had problems in point system that does not mean that my point sytem still have problems and if every module and dolphin has no problem why every day so many people telling here about their problem and i'm not selling my site in few thousands bucks that you will need so many things what i do have in my site enough for $400 so if any body interested welcome otherwise i dont have any problem,if any body will start his/her new site with installation ,hosting, domainname, myspace module, reward shop module, point sytem, adsense modles and 200 members with so many articles and already site is well known how much he/she has to spend?

I am curious (Boonex?? or Mod Creators??)

-

If someone is selling a site with mods on it, are there rules?

-

What are the rules, i can't find anything that explains anywhere if someone wants to sell their site, how it works, who owns the licenses, mods etc...

-

Anyone out there care to discuss this?

Hi i think there should not be any problem because site owner alreday bought the mods and he is not selling the scripts he is selling his site only so it should not be any problem ,because site is owners property ,site owner is ot changing anything with boonex script or changing their copyright information.

Thought I had seen something a month or so when someone tried to sell a site with no members that the site has to have at least 500 members before Boonex would transfer the licenses/permit it to be SOLD since dolphin is a freeware program.

Now, my suggestions to anyone considering buying this site or any other is to request a Google Analytics report on it (better if he lets you log into his analytics account and retrieve the report yourself) to verify how active/inactive the site actually is.

Next is a word of wisdom to our Site Realtor of the Day, people have a right to voice their opinions based upon the information you've provided.  Since you have not provided a URL to the site or anything else, then I would suggest that you understand our apprehension with your offer.

Now, if it's open season on selling sites and this site, a basic Dolphin Install with  a points module, myspace module (what is that exaclty, the toolbar?  template?), reward shop is worth $450, then can I sell MyDatery.Com which comes with the following:

Advanced E-Mail system with custom e-mail filtering system (DM)

Advanced Profile Splitter System (ALV)

Scam Net (ALV)

Dependent Fields (ALV)

Access Management (ALV)

Deluxe Photo Galleries (Aramis)

Admin to Member on-site E-Mail (DM)

Customized 3 Column Profile w/Full Width 1st Column (It's really cool to see work)

FaceBook Mod

Web Statistics

Google Adsearch

Google Adsense

Gawd I could keep going forever... What do you think mine would be worth?  Get the point Marc1?  There are sites out there that are far more modified than yours and that's just the short list on MyDatery.Com... (Sorry for spamming folks but he needs to see his site is not valued at this...)

If he gives a URL then I'll show ya what the actual site is worth...  Betting it comes in around $78.00 US, don't worry so do most other brand new sites like that... My suggestion after reading your blog is to consider another look at your hosting company since your problems started when you moved to them...

i dont want to argue with anybody i already said to contact me through pm and i already message about my site url in pm ,nothing to hide,i dont have any bugs i did have some problem with my earlier hosting but i changed my hosting  and and now no problems ,i have nothing to worry how much your site worth ,and what i have spent on my sites and in modules i'm offering same selling price, just tell me if some body would start his site how much it will cost ,with domain name, point module ,6 months hosting ,point module, myspace module, reward shop, adsense module and dolphin installtion and plus my labour to advertise my site with eisiting 200 members, now a days people are not fool ,they know how much they have to spend and they are very clever to compare the things ,so anybody want to buy welcome if not no problem .

I saw ur site and i saw ur alexa rank it is 1,715,599

My site alexa rank is 2,58 478

Another think you seller always looks for traffic and i have good traffic otherwise clicksor like site would not have approved me.

and your site traffic showing red downward rating if you are evaluating my site $78 without even knowing about it ,ithink your site would go for $48 ..LOL

I don't think you can necessarily give one "value" as to what a site with members is worth.  For example, if you had a medocre site with 200 stamp collectors as members it might not seem like it would be worth much to anyone, but if you had the only other social network for stamp collectors, and buying it would clear out your only competition and add to your member base, it might be worth much more.  Since Marc didn't tell us what his site is about, there is really no way to know if it is worth anything.

As I understand it, it is perfectly ok to re-sell the Dolphin software - it says so in the docs somewhere.  The attribution links must be kept or bought off, and the 500 rule I think is just if you want to transfer the license to a different domain name.  I don't really know if there are "rules" about mods - but since sometimes mod get modified and changed I think it would be to complicated to try to keep track of them during a sale, and should probably be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Hi all i dont want much argument i know i do have 200 active members and every day some people signing and i can show my traffic details and alexa rank and i dont have any fake member base and i know my site's worth as i have some personal problem i'm selling it ,smart people know how much a site worth with this features and main thing is good members ,as i'll sell my site nothing to hide about  site's url i'm only giving site information to interesting candidates.Within 3 months my alexa rank gone to 25800 so i'm confident about my site's growth ,those have negative points they will compromise with their price. Thanks to all for their response.
