Site it down - Error Message

Got this error on my site after using easyapache per instructed:

Fatal error: Cannot re-assign auto-global variable _FILES in /home/operat21/public_html/inc/images.inc.php on line 227

I do not know easyapache/whm at all.  Thanks to the great assistance from someone, I was able to do the work.  Due to the time difference between us and my site being down another night, I want to see if anyone could spare me the instructions on what I need/can do to fix this.  Step by step if at all possible.

I saved the easyapache configuration log too.

I am in the US/EST (Atlanta) and I can be found on skype also:  operation.enduring.fitness

To ensure I don't go through issues like this, I have registered at join.me so that I may screen share to ensure there isn't any directions lost in translation.

Thanks in advance.

OK, I can take a look.  I have used easy apache on another server.  Can you list the changes you made to easy apache here, that may aid in knowing what broke the site.

OK, I read the link posted and it seems it is related to the php version.  Did you make changes to the PHP version?  I would recommend keeping it on 5.3.x; it does depend on what version of Dolphin you are running as 7.0.9 WILL NOT operate on too high a version of PHP.

Yes. You seem to have upgraded PHP to a version that is not supported by dolphin 7.0.9 and under.

The last version of php that will run dolphin 7.0.9 is PHP version 5.3.

Thanks, everyone for the quick response!  I really appreciate.  I checked out the link listed - much appreciated.  How do I locate this issue to update or revert back to the php version that I had?  Once I log back into whm/easypache, it is a different world.

Wish I knew a thing or two about this stuff Frown

Thanks.

Basically, from EasyApache, select the previous saved config and click through the steps until you reach the PHP version - select PHP 5.3, and then click through the steps again until you can click the Save and Build button.

Let the build process finish, and don't close the tab/window until it does. You'll then see a popup window with some additional PHP configuration options - you should be able to stick with the defaults from the previous build and simply close and save the window.

I received the help needed from start to finish by Lynxd2 - I was able to revert back, fix and update. My site works fine now.  Thanks so much for your time and effort.

Can anyone share their going rate for mod installs?

Upgrade me from Dolphin 7.0.5 to 7.1.4?

Thanks.

Thanks.

OK, default PHP values for Dolphin ain't going to cut it; at least not for file uploads, memory and such.  If you are going to have people uploading videos, they tend to be large in size and your file size limits will need to be increased.  You can do some searches on this.  Oh, here is an example, I have an import tool for blogs so that people can bring their blogger, wordpress, etc blog to my site.  I had it choking until I bumped php's timeout up; if you know a process is going to require more time, then you have to let php know.

To upgrade from 7.0.5 to 7.1.4 means following each step.  The question is have you modified any core files, even if that modification was for third party modules?  If so, those mods will disappear and need to be reapplied at the end.  You need to catalogue all your third party modules first and then check the market to see if their are 7.1.4 versions.  If not, then you will have to toss those modules or find replacements if possible.  Your template will not work, so if you have a custom template, you will need to toss it and find a replacement if there is not a 7.1.4 version.

There are some migration services in the market, don't be afraid to ask for references; this is a business transaction, not a friendship arrangement.  If you ask for references to get house repairs done the same applies for website repairs.
