Since I have been gone

So, how has everyone been doing? Whats been going on? What have I missed over the past 6 months or so?

I can not really say because I am unsure of the timeline of the changes that have been going on.  If you haven't yet, read through the blog postings for some updates from Boonex.

And of course Boonex decided to use a fish logo in the place of the Dolphin logo.  Yes, Andrew, regardless of what others said, it looks like a fish.

Oh, and of course the dumbing down for telephones continues.

One big change is introduction of subscriptions. Both for license and for "hosting+license+service" packages. It's an important shift, which we also plan to carry over to Market as well. Permanent licenses are still available, but we can distinctly see the benefits of subscription model for end-clients. We take care of installation, version updates, server setup and maintenance. This makes initial deployment MUCH more easy for beginners. And cost-wise, I believe that when you factor in hosting fees, time spent for sorting things out and the license cost subscriptions work out to be a lot more cost-effective.

As for Dolphin, one of the big important improvements was Dolphin Connect - the oAuth2-based SSO server module for DolphinPro.

And finally, the 7.3 is coming very soon. First beta next week with any luck. And that's with a new awesome chat.
