 This may have been discused before, but after installing v6.1.x dolphin, and one goes to the sign up option, halfway down the screen one of the signup fields is description. This box constantly moves to the right when you type and reverses back when backspace. Is there a fix for this?? Or what can i modify if possible to get arounds this? Currently major problem though as alot time cant signup at all because of this. |
I finally found the fix, just remove the field from the admin/builders section problem solved. Seams most ppl have done this on there dolphin version, its not bugged in v7 fixed only v6.x. |
What is it doing? This is not a normal 6.1.6 bug. The box is designed to move to the right slightly when the members starts to type to show the character count, but it should not move back when you hit the back space.

What type of system do you have dolphin installed on? Linux, Windows, VPS, Shared, Home Server?
And no, most people don't do this on their dolphin sites to get around this problem, it would have people screaming if that was the solution. |

Linux Seams what i was told and also from boonex support this was a current bug and there was no way to fix this currently, which they then pointed out that it does not exist in v7. Note; I also put in my own fields like this for inputting multiline txt and the same thing happened. ie: As you type in the box, the box moves to the right constantly and then if you backspace it moves to the left, and even if you have something in the box and try submit it refuses to think there is something in the box, so the only solution was to remove the box as other people advised. i did alot of searching yes, and could not understand why none else had this problem i agree. |
I have a slew of D6 sites and have worked on a slew more sites, as have many others around here. Yours is the very first site that I have ever heard of this happening on. If it was a widespread issue, then I"m sure we'd have many people in here complaining about it, I know I wouldn't be utilizing Dolphin if it was. |
