I'm still here, so is Geek_Girl and a few others. Most dolphin sites are members only and a few are adult sites where the owner will be reluctant to advertise here.

I run an adult site with no nudity or porn but the members demand privacy.

Here's a site I'm still developing. It's a community site, virtually no modules or bells and whistles. It's running with EVO and the changes took about an hour. They're basic.

https://cairnsclubs.com

Then there's my demo site running EVO out of the box. The purpose of this site is to demonstrate an alternative splash area and random Profile Covers for members. I use these features on every site I develop and they're free. Just ask me.

Click on the four member profiles to see how they work. The cover image for member's 2 and three who have profile photos, changes every time you view their profile. Member 4 has replaced the image with his own. Because member 1 hasn't bothered to upload a profile photo, her cover is static.

You can have dozens of random images themed to your site and the mod is one line of code.

Not a fan of this software but invested too much.

EVO is crap.

Dolphin users have been shafted.

I don't know why I keep saying EVO (the template) when I mean UNA (the software).

I do look over there (UNA.io) from time to time but can't see much improvement in their development path and still feel energies should have been concentrated on the Dolphin 10 Leap (or whatever the catchphrase was).

Maybe the powers that be will think again and decide to continue where they left off.

Cool

Swimming with Dolphins hasn't been an easy experience and often ends in more tears (with the conflicting upgrade problems) than laughter.

My problem was probably investing in too many modules; especially ones that needed hard code changes and didn't really add much to the community experience; nor expand healthily on the content.

Many of the modules added too many database tables and empty pages to fiddle around with.

So it's often back to square one.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
