Setting up Maxmind Proxy Detection and GeoIP

I am setting up Maxmind Proxy Detection and GeoIP2 to work with Boonex. I found these old forums for previous Dolphin versions. A lot has changed and I need to know if this is still the best way to set it up. I just want to stop spam joins and I only want the United States to be able to join.

I found this on the web showing how to install GeoIP2:

And I found these links in the Boonex forums:

All of those are outdated.  Suggest you install the latest GeoIP2 and the Maxmind  DB Apache module

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

You can do it the same with build-in Antispam Tools:

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
