Setting default content albums privacy?

How can the default privacy (i.e., 'Allow viewing of folder to') setting for content albums (e.g., photos) or folders (e.g., files) be set?

Seems like the default setting for first folder / album (which is created by the system) is Public.

Thanks!

you can change in your SQL. Find sys_privacy and change it . it will be the numbers 3 is for members, 4 for friends etc

I requested; however, did not do a ticket, for this to be a setting in the admin due to it use to be hard coded in the script.  It caused a bug to appear if the public group was not activated in admin.  I am not sure how it is handled in 7.2.1.

Thanks for this suggestion, but this will only update albums/folders which have already been created.

Albums/folders which are automatically created when new users register will still be public.

Does anyone know which php file to update for newly created albums/folders?

This is exactly my feeling. It should be an admin setting.

How can this change be requested?

Can you explain what you mean by:

It caused a bug to appear if the public group was not activated in admin.
