Sending mail when media is pending approval?

I'm looking to find a way or mod that will allow me to send mail to a user automatically when they upload media telling them the image/video is pending approval of a moderator. Also when it is approved or disproved.

Anyone know of something like that?

I have still to find a good solution to this is anyone has an idea.
