Hi

I have installed at http://friends.prihatin.net.my/dolphin/join.php but when ppl want to register, the security image (Captcha) not appeared.

How to solve? Can i remove the Captcha from the Join form?

this forum is for reporting bugs. this is an issue with your server setup i can assure you. that you most likely do not have imagemagick or GD library installed therefore the captcha image is not appearing.

Hey DosDawg, today I installed the D7 script with the 7.01 upgrade. The captcha image is also missing at my trial site. You can check it at www.onderweg.be/ONDERWEG

It isn't in my D7 script which is running online www.onderweg.be/dating/members

Maybe something IS wrong with the upgrade.

I checked both SIMG folders with my file manager and they look exactly the same in both installed scripts. So it seems not logical to me to create a php.ini file in one folder where it works without that file in the other folder.

I also checked my admin panel where settings are equal.

There must be something wrong with the upgrade patch of 7.0.1.

Here's what I did :

I backed up my 7.0.0 database and imported that .sql file after I reinstalled the script with the upgrade patch.

I also noticed that the pre-defined values that I created for extra fields in the 7.0.0 script are not showing up in the new script. I ckecked the database and the number of pre-values is exactly the same in both scripts.

So I'm wondering if anybody managed to make their site working after upgrading with the 7.0.1 patch.

site works just fine after the 7.0.1 upgrade

Well, I'll keep trying, but I won't use the upgrade patch Smile

I just deleted everything and will now re-install using the complete 7.0.1 download.

This is how to solve the problem:

Assuming you are using Dolphin 7 and your server is equipped with GD Library, go to the folder in your server's "File Manager" and access the "simg" folder. Delete ".htaccess". Finally, access "simg / images" and also delete ".htaccess" here as well.

All done, God willing!

Those .htaccess files are there for a reason, they shouldn't have any effect on the image. 99% of the time this problem is caused by the TTF fonts not being installed on the server.

Either way this thread is two years old so hopefully these people have sorted it out by now :-)
