Search members by city?

Why can't we search for members by city here?  I would like to find some people to work with in my city - San Diego, California - but when I do a site search I only get a few members - and I know for a fact there are others.   The forum search is useless for this, of course, and there doesn't seem special searches in the members section.  The profiles here on Unity are already incredibly weak - at least 95 percent of them just say something like "just checking it out" along with a pseudonym.  One thing they do have, however, is the city.  Most of us who have used Dolphin to design our sites allow city searches - why not here?
