I am fed up now - all was well until I changed file /public_html/templates/base/_header.html to this - I did copy the original new one, but I must have overwritten it (what a fool). Anyway could someone please help me, otherwise I will have to do another install. Thanks in anticipation of some help.

Just replace it with a copy from the dolphin zip file      then clear your cache and cache_ public  folder.

I downloaded it through cPanel from Softaculous - so it went directly to _public.html.

So I do not have the .zip file! any ideas?

then y ou need to download it. and understanding where auto-installers are a convenience, they are not the true answer to trying to run a site as complex as dolphin is and can prove to be.

Wally, google is your friend. Use it a lot! Dont be afraid to literally ask it, "Where does my sitemap go"...or "dolphin 7 download"

Sitemap goes at yoursite.com/sitemap.xml. Or in other words, the root.

You will forever be working on your site. Dont expect web work to be simple. Its just as hard and time consuming as any other profession, or huge hobby. FOREVER!!!

Look toward bottom of page, you will see a dolphin download there, so you can have all the files on your com for reference.

This sentance says nothing, and its possibly spellt wrong.

Hi guys, after enabling website sitemap generation (at administration/sitemap.php of Dolphin 7.1.4), it generates a sitemap with URLs of cache_public (ex.:

<sitemapindex xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9">

<sitemap>
</sitemap>
<sitemap>
</sitemap>

) How to solve it? Seems to me that if cache_public dir get empty, Google wont find it and thus not rank my page...

Cheers from Brazil,

The generated sitemap file links to several other files in the public_html folder. The sites information changes on a regular basis thus the sitemap files do as well. It's part of a nightly cron run. So even if that cache folder gets emptied, those files get regenerated.

And one other thing you may not be aware of. The sitemap is just something that helps google find pages on your site a little easier. It does not need to be present for google to crawl and index your site. That will happen anyway. With or without a sitemap.
