Running two forums

Basically, I want to run two orca forums. Any help?

Not sure about the Orca, but on my previous Dolphin's installation, i used PHPBB3, in theory, you can install as many forums as you wanted, but that will requires to create a new account for each ones of the forums.

Are you sure, that's what you really want?

I want to set it up to where a group can see some of the boards and another group can see the rest. But currently the excluded group can still see the boards of the posts they are blocked from but cant see any posts. My understanding is only 2 forums can resolve this issue.

Ok, have you thought about the page access control option?

Basically you could allow access to the "group A" only to the "forum A" and deny access to the "forum B" and creating a similar rule for the "group B".

Admin Panel>>Modules>>Page Access Control.

I have my forum set up like this;

Vistors Area

Board 1

Board 2

Members Area

Board 1

Board 2

Visitors can still see "Members Area/Board1". They can't see the posts, but they can still see the board titles.

Did you try to deny access from the Page Access Control ?

You can select to which group you want to apply this setting from there (Visitors=Non Members).
