 Hello. I would like to install Rocket chat within my website so that it integrates with the database and pulls the member information from the database meaning they do not have to login twice. When I say twice I mean they will of course log in to my site initially but not have to login to Rocket chat as well.
Does this mean that the Chatplus server should be installed on a subdomain of my site or in a directory of the site? |
Chat+ needs to be installed on its own domain or a subdomain - it can't be in a subfolder at this time. But it's not possible with the current implementation to automatically create accounts on Chat+ and login users. To login to Chat+, the user needs to click the Dolphin Connect button and login to the site and authorize the connection. Once done, a local Chat+ account is made for the user with matching details.
