This is the support forum for the Reviews mod.

I feel dumb. I can not understand setting this up. I have added the fields I want as criteria when submitting a review but when I click "Add Item" my fields are not there.  I am missing something.  Do you add the item that is being reviewed and then submit a review?

 Sorry to bother Sir, Never mind I have figured this out.

I would like to suggest some updated features for this module if you are able.

1. Change the slide rating.  Its confusing that you can slide the number 1 or the number 5 in different directions but only sliding the number one towards the 5 will give the correct rating. If you slide the 5 to the 4 then the rating is still 1.

2.  When you add a new custom field I need the option for multi line field of text.  The single line of text box is difficult to type a paragraph into. 

3.  Perhaps a sort order feature for custom fields for the order they display for adding feedback.

Next problem with custom fields.  They are cutting off at 250 characters with no option in the module settings to control the character count.

How to increase the character count is important soon as I can if you are able to throw some instruction my way for that item of concern.

The custom fields were not designed to handle multi-line entries. I will look at adjusting this when I update the module later in the month (hopefully next week).

I can work through not having multi line though its desired.  The biggest thing is the character count.  Thanks.

Love the new updates. Very thankful for them, its really a great plus to the module.  My biggest and prime issue was that I can not post over 250 characters in the custom fields as I mentioned above.  It seems that the restriction is still there and I can't do the review structure I need with 250 character max.. I did not see it in the settings to change it with the new update?  Is there a file I can edit quickly to lift this?

The update has a new option called multi-line text. That is what you need to use. You cannot get more than 255 characters for the single-line text. If you have items previously created as single-line text at you need more than 255 characters for, you need to go to the admin panel and modify those items changing them to multi-line text.

That was the problem.. It was because they were previously created items so when I changed their field type it still did not work.. I went into the database and changed the custom field types from varchar (255) to "text".  Good to go now thanks.

Great module! My only complaint is that paragraphing (whether manually or via html <p></p>) does not work correctly. When I try to set up paragraphs, I get a block wall of text. Other modules paragraphing works correctly and I haven't done any changes to the wysiwyg editor yet.

Wanted to post a feature request/suggestion.  It would be great if the administrator could make a particular review "sticky" as you might a forum post. That way the "Official review" remains on top and other random reviews (feedback) still cycle through as they do now.

Not a sticky item but sticky feedback.

I wanted to past and ask you what I am doing wrong. I've created a custom field named "cost". I made it for a specific category.  When I add a product review to that category it shows in the form just as it should.  However, when I submit the product review there is no output to the end user to read what the "cost" is based on my input. Should this not output with the description, pros, and cons? Screen shots attached.

Fixed issue with custom fields not showing on Feedback page.

I resolved some breadcrumb issues when navigating Feedback for items. Re-upload files and recompile the language for the module.

This module is now compatible with Dolphin 7.2 . For those upgrading from Dolphin 7.1, please check the upgrade folder for instructions.

The module is compatible with Dolphin 7.3. The price is also reduced.

Updates have been made to the module to resolve issues with removing reviews previously posted. Please re-upload the module files to your server.
