Resource Usage Warning - Core Resources

Hy since the last update to 7.1 final i am getting mails about abuse of core resources at the previous versions i never had this problem.

 

is there something i can do about this.

The limits of excessive usage for each resource are:

CPU %: 1.0-2.0 is Moderate, 3.0 is High, higher than 4.0 is Unacceptable. This is the average percentage of the entire server's CPU used by your account. This is of all processors combined.
Memory %: 0.0-1.0 is Moderate, 2.0 is High, higher than 5.0 is Unacceptable. This is the average percentage of the entire server's Memory used by your account in that day.
MySQL Usage: 0.0-0.5 is Moderate, 1.0 is High, higher than 1.0 is Unacceptable. This is the average number of Mysql instances you were running at all specific seconds of that day.


More often than not, single spikes in usage are attributed to abuse by your visitors, resource-exhaustive web platforms, or plugins of those platforms.

Well, the higher than acceptable usage always stems from your cron job. As your cron rens on the minute, every minute, it probally coincides with their monitoring activity. You could try setting it to run only every 5 minutes but bare in mind it'll have 5x more things to do, on average, each time it runs. It seems your host is a little bit tight with mysql processes, allowing an average of half a process. A move might be in order, or a VPS/dedicated server.
