You should get an email about all site activity such as that; when you installed your D, you were asked where to send site emails.

I would think that is where it would be.

Not sure on this.

Are you speaking of the forums?

If so there is a free module in the market that will alert you to every single forums post on your site.

@ newton27

Thanks for your reply. But I'm not talking about the email to notify you. Moderation is different.

What I'm saying is. Where can I Preview the  "REPORT SPAM"  to moderate - block or ban spammers?

TY

Thanks for your reply. It has nothing to do with the forum. It;s about the REPORT SPAM button. View link below

http://screencast.com/t/KiyKt1A5

Try to locate the button on the image - click it, then go to your admin panel and look for the REPORT SPAM admin preview. I can't find any, that's why I'm asking here.

I'm sorry, you do state that right off, "in the actions block"

Well that would be up to you.

You would find their membership page, send a warning message.

Ban them, or what ever you want, if you want to block their IP address

you have to go the admin>tools>IP Blacklist

then look through that and get their IP address and block them.

It's many steps to this, do not delete the membership until you have removed all their postings you can find first, otherwise it will be harder later to remove the unwanted content.

tdot647 if you're asking where you can see the actual spam.... you can't. Unless you go and dig through the site and look at everything the reported member has done.

The report spam system in Dolphin has a LONG way to go. If you have an active site it would become very time consuming if you started getting these emails regularly and had to start investigating each one to make sure it was really spam and not just someone clicking it to be a jerk. The email should probably have the reported content and a ban/suspend/delete button for the reported member (like Wordpress!).

If it makes you feel any better the report buttons here on Boonex's own site don't do anything either Tongue Out

Hi,

Thanks for all your responses. But you are all still way off. My question is very simple I don't know why nobody is able to get my point. I'm beginning to doubt my english. LOL

Just please don't wander around.Don't go to email, forum and others. Lets go back and stick to the

"REPORT SPAM" button. How will you moderate when a member click the report spam button?

Please view the screen capture link: (copy-paste to browser)

Thank you in advance

I did look at your photo, anywhere on a site you have the option to click that button.

The outcome of that, the email I showed you, it is as plain as that and what Mscott said.

There in no OPTION to view the reported content, you only get the "report"

It is up to you as the site operator to find out why or what it was.

If you see the email, it shows the member reporting the spam. Your job as a moderator, contact the member and ask them what the spam was.

There is not magical area that is going to show you each and every reported "spam" item.

You have an email stating a member spammed, you have to find out what it was and do what you consider moderation..

The SPAM button in the actions is as useless as tits on a bull IMO. There needs to be at least a choice of reasons the user clicked the spam button. Otherwise it's a needle in a haystack.

I agree, and that is not the one he is referring to either. It's an awful system.

Thank you all for your replies. I really appreciate it.

So that button is useless? No statistics or moderation

function?

Who's idea to add that button in the first place? Somebody

please do something about it...

You can run this query in phpmyadmin then clean cache :

DELETE FROM `sys_objects_actions` WHERE `Caption`='{cpt_report}';

Alternatively you can get the Actions Manager module which will allow you to have full control over all actions buttons on your site.

Regarding a decent Report Spam mechanism, you can check out the Reporting Tool module.
